I am going to confess that I need a glass or two of good wine on social occasions. I am more of a sweet wine person than dry wine so obviously Sangria is my favorite. So when I came across this idea of eating wine, I was thrilled. Had to try it. I made this Gelee back in the summer. It tasted heavenly when sitting outdoors, eating spoon after spoon of chilled Sangria Gelee. I think I would want to recreate this recipe just to experience that beautiful summer day for a few minutes. Try it out and let me know how you like it.
- 2 cups wine of your choice. I used white Riesling here.
- 2 cups water or Fruit juice.
- 2 cups assorted fresh berries
- 2 packets (each 7 grams) unflavoured gelatin powder
Place wine in a saucepan over medium heat. If you cook Indian food or use lot of spices like I do, make sure all the smell from spices in removed from the pan. Allow it to come to boil and remove from heat. Add gelatine powder and stir until dissolved. Add water or fruit juice.
